Welcome to the Goldsboro District
The Goldsboro District is the central district of the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Its sixty-six congregations reside in Johnston, Wayne, Lenoir, Sampson and Duplin Counties. In the south end of the district, the largely agrarian population is welcoming a new influx of Hispanic families. In the northwest the district enjoys the growth of the Research Triangle, one of the fastest growing areas in the country. For a map of the district click here.
Our goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We continue the quest of our denomination's founder, John Wesley, in promoting personal and social holiness as we seek to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in genuine apostolic and evangelical witness. While the style of worship in our congregations may vary, depending on location and population, our goal to make committed and accountable disciples for Christ does not change. As a connectional Church, our congregations are all united to one another and to Christ. We encourage all who want to come into relationship with God through Jesus Christ to worship with us.
