Seniors to Visit Dead Sea Scrolls
On Thursday, November 20 senior adults will travel to Raleigh to see the most remarkable archeological discovery of the twentieth century. They will visit the NC Museum of Natural Sciences and view the Dead Sea Scrolls. This educational event is made possible through a generous grant from the Duke Endowment.

Hurricane Ike Relief
Bishop Gwinn asks pastors to receive a special offering, either this Sunday, or at a Christmas offering, or at some time before the end of the year for relief of Hurricane Ike victims in Texas.

All churches are asked to complete an audit of the financial records. For guidance please consult the Audit Guide for Local Churches published by the General Committee on Finance and Administration.

On February 18 Chuck Cook announced the start of the new PEP Program (Pastor Exercise Program) for the district. Funds have been set aside from our Duke Endowment Pastoral Wellness grant to help you to work toward becoming a healthier pastor. If pastors bring or fax a receipt for a one-year membership in a YMCA, health club, or similar exercise facility, the district will reimburse up to $250 as long as funds last. These funds will be given on a first-come-first-served basis, so go to your closest health facility and sign up today.
